Founded in 2008, Vicinity Motor Corp. (“VMC”) is a bus and commercial truck manufacturer with operations in both Canada and the United States. Our purpose-built Vicinity bus line includes both medium and heavy-duty mid-sized buses. Today we have over 650 buses in operation serving many communities across Canada and the United States with various lengths & propulsions.

We have been a publicly traded company since 2013, listed on the TSX under the symbol VMC.V. We are also listed on the Nasdaq under the symbol VEV. We design, engineer, and build small mid-sized buses.

VMC has set itself apart from other manufacturers in North America by focusing on the “mid-size” bus range and class 3 commercial trucks with our Vicinity product line. Our purpose-built Vicinity bus line includes both medium and heavy-duty mid-sized buses that provide customers with a true community transit bus experience. Customers include the cities of Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton, Welland, Simcoe, Midland, Coburg, Waterloo, Edmonton, Whitecourt, Grand Prairie, Medicine Hat, Red Deer, Lethbridge, Canmore, Regina, Saskatoon, BC Transit, Selkirk, St. John's, St.Levis, Saguenay, Trois-Rivières, Selkirk, Moose Jaw, Delta Airlines, Atlanta Airport, Atlanta, Boston Casino, and Brooklyn Navy Yards.

In 2019 VMC saw an opportunity to enter the commercial truck market using our technology from the electric bus platform. In 2022 VMC delivered its first production model electric truck. This truck lineup consists of the VMC 1200, a purpose-built class 3 electric truck.  Delivery of these trucks to dealers began in October 2022 and the truck has seen such demand that there are now purchase orders for over 1,000 units in 2023.
