Nigel is a home builder and renovator, energy technology developer, energy policy and regulatory intervenor, and renewable power project developer. He is currently a principal of Shape Energy Inc., an EA and consulting firm serving residential and commercial designers and builders across BC. 

Nigel designed/ built his first home at 18, and his most recent home to demonstrate a low-cost Step 5 home, BC’s highest-performing home category. Nigel earned his MBA from SFU in low-carbon electricity market competition, is a licensed NRCan Energy Advisor, and is an HRAI Residential Air System Design Technician. Nigel serves on the board of Fab-Form Inc., a BC public company developing innovative (patented) low-carbon cost-saving products for building structural foundations.
